Portugal Sees Record Same-Sex Marriages
Portugal received its largest-ever check from Europe, with 10 ceremonies conducted by the church and the rest by civil means. 2025 also saw a record number of same-sex marriages, exceeding one thousand. Lesbian marriages outnumbered gay marriages for the first time.
