“η λέξη φαρμακό, Αυτό τους φαρμακούς έφερναν την Γιατρία στην Αρχαία Αθήνη. ότι έφερναν τον καθαρμό της πόλεις από το μίασμα. Και επειδή ως καθάρματα, υπλέγοντας συχνά κακοποιεί, για να κάνουν αυτή τη δουλειά με τη λέξη κάθαρμα, χαρακτηρίστηκε στη συνέχεια κάθε κακός άνθρωπος. Τους φαρμακούς αρχικά τους περιέφεραν στους δρόμους, για να πάρουν πάνω τους το μίασμα και στη συνέχεια τους έρχναν στη θάλασσα ή τους υποχρέωναν να απομακρυνθούν από την πόλη. Σε κάποιες πόλεις μάλιστα ήταν ποιος κλειρή με τους φαρμακούς. Τους έκαιγαν, τους έκαιγαν.”
