Remains Of Volhynia Massacre Victims Found In Poland
During excavation work in the former villages of Ostrówki and Wola Ostrowiecka, Polish investigators have uncovered the remains of four individuals. These sites are related to the Volhynia massacre. The Polish Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) reported the findings, noting that the grave is located on the grounds of a former farmstead. Culture Minister Marta Cienkowska reported that workers found foxholes, two mass graves, and one individual grave on the first day. The search aimed to locate the remains of 350 people murdered in 1943. The discovered remains will be exhumed and buried at the Ostrówki cemetery. Voivode Radosław Król is overseeing the process.
