Militants Attack Bamako and Other Locations In Mali
Militant groups launched coordinated attacks on the capital city of Bamako and other locations in Mali. The army reported several hundred attackers but stated the situation is under control. The United Nations indicated that targets included a key military base and the area around the capital's airport. The airport has been closed. A 30-year-old male suspect from California has been identified in connection with the recent security incidents.
