German Drug Smuggling Ring Includes Wealthy Backgrounds
Six young men have been charged by the Düsseldorf public prosecutor's office for smuggling and distributing at least four tons of marijuana and one kilogram of cocaine. The accused were reportedly the leaders of a group of over 30 suspects from the Cologne-Bonn area. Notably, almost all of the young defendants, including four women, come from middle-class or very wealthy German families. The gang operated in Spain, the Benelux countries, and South America.
