AI Vehicles Can Target Threats Automatically
Vehicles belonging to a United Nations humanitarian mission in Kherson were targeted by a drone. The attack was announced by Oleksandr Prokoudine, head of the regional military administration. This action is considered a war crime under international law. This practice has been dubbed 'drone safari'. New army vehicles, part of a French deal, are equipped with AI that can automatically target perceived threats. Experts note these systems can be configured to fire without human input.
