Eitan Bondi Identified As Rome Shooter
Two individuals, identified as Rossana Gabrielli and Nicola Fasciano, were shot in Rome on April 25. The victims, both in their sixties, reported that a man on a scooter stopped and pointed a handgun at them before opening fire. Prosecutors are investigating the incident as attempted murder. Investigators are examining whether the motive for the shooting was political, noting the victims were wearing scarves with the logo of the National Association of Italian Partisans. Police identified 21-year-old former architecture student Eitan Bondi as the suspect after tracking a scooter license plate via surveillance cameras. The suspect was located at a hotel near the Ktel area six hours after the shooting. An employee reported that the suspect had attempted to rent a room but was unable to do so because the hotel was full.
