Cyber Operation Damages 1,000 Iranian Centrifuges
The Iranian military reports it has intercepted or downed 202 aircraft belonging to the US and Israel since February 28. These drones are noted for their low cost, utilizing consumer-grade components to achieve a price point of approximately tens of thousands of dollars per unit. Some of the downed aircraft are reported to have unit costs as high as $30 million. These figures are based on data provided by the Iranian military on March 26. Iran utilizes the 358 loitering munition, which has a length of 2.74 meters and a diameter of approximately 155mm. These munitions have a cruising range of 100km and utilize consumer-grade components to keep costs around tens of thousands of dollars per unit. Authorities in Iran reported that 20 aircraft were significantly damaged and rendered unusable.
