Ukraine Border Guard Denies Immediate Belarusian Threat

Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's Presidential Office, stated there are no immediate signs of a Belarusian invasion. The comments follow ongoing concerns regarding military movements on the border. This assessment aims to manage regional security expectations. Deputy Minister Yevhen Honchar stated that Ukraine does not face a systemic shortage of medicines for treating cardiovascular diseases. A new medical program covers over 700 types of essential medications. The list includes treatments for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, mental disorders, leukemia, and migraines. The program also provides medications for post-transplant patients, including pain relief and palliative care. Andriy Demchenko, a spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, stated there is no immediate threat from Belarus. No movement of military equipment or buildup of forces has been recorded near the Ukrainian border. Belarusian units remain in their positions and are only conducting periodic rotations. Additionally, border guards reported that Russia is not deploying forces in Belarus that could pose a real invasion threat.
