Sudanese Army Targets El Kormouk From RSF Positions

The Sudanese army is attempting to retake the strategic city of El Kormouk from the Rapid Support Forces. Clashes and attacks have been reported in the Sali and Al-Kiliya areas. The Rapid Support Forces have previously attacked the Sali region multiple times. The military operation follows the takeover of the city by the Rapid Support Forces. The situation remains active as the army seeks to regain control of the strategic location. The military is reportedly targeting RSF concentrations in the region. At least four people, including children, were killed and 12 others were injured during attacks in the Jolo camp area of Jebel Marra, West Darfur. An emergency room reported 12 additional injuries following recent strikes. Hundreds of homes in the Zenk al-Khudar camp were destroyed by fire, leaving residents without basic services. Casualties in the affected area are estimated to be between 700 and 900 people.
