Terrorist Attacks Leave 20 Dead in Cauca Department

The death toll from a terrorist attack on the Pan-American Highway in Cauca has risen to 12 people. Authorities have increased rewards for information leading to the perpetrators, with bounties reaching up to 200 billion pesos. The security surge follows recent violence in Cali and Palmira. Twenty people were injured in the Cauca region of Colombia during the attack. The Colombian Prosecutor's Office has deployed an investigation and analysis team to identify those responsible for terrorist escalations by the Ivan Mordisco dissident group. Mobility in the Pan-American highway near the tunnel sector remains subject to structural evaluations. The agency is demanding decisive responses from the State regarding these incidents. The Procuraduría is also calling for psychological support for survivors of the attacks. At least 20 people were killed and 50 others wounded during a terrorist escalation by FARC dissidents in the Cauca department. The attacks affected at least 10 municipalities.
