Drones Deployed In Test Scenario
Authorities in the Magdalena Medio region have installed a modern drone security system to monitor activity by the ELN, Gulf Clan dissidents, and criminal gangs. The system is part of a new integrated monitoring and immediate reaction center designed to mitigate violence in the area. This deployment follows recent security concerns regarding armed group operations in the region. Drones were directed into specific areas during what may have been a test, according to a report from Radio Svoboda. Australian WEDGE TALE early warning aircraft and American AWA-CS aircraft were deployed to monitor the airspace.
