Armed Man Reported In Athens And Patras
An 89-year-old armed man shot and injured five people at the entrance of the First Instance Court in Athens. The attack occurred within a period of less than 50 minutes. No specific casualties or specific names of the institutions were provided. The incident occurred on Odoloukares Street. The incidents occurred on Loukareos Street, where the suspect left one of the two weapons used. The incidents occurred at Loukareos and Efeti in the center of the city. A gunman opened fire in two separate attacks in the Athens suburbs of Eukari and Iraklido. One suspect was transferred from Patras and is currently being held in Gada. The Association of Judicial Officers is holding an emergency one-day work stoppage today to show solidarity with four employees injured in the incident. Workers in Eukari are also planning a nationwide strike and demonstration at 12:00 PM outside the Ministry of Labor.
