Ukraine Drones Impact Russian Economy, Influence Talks
Ukrainian air defenses destroyed 90 out of 123 strike drones launched over Ukrainian territory. This represents a 2% increase in drone and missile launches compared to March, though it is significantly lower than the 288 launches recorded in February. Ukraine anticipates Russia will attempt to expand strikes if they prove effective. Ukraine's air force reported that its air defense systems shot down or suppressed 142 enemy drones. The drones were of the Shahed, Geran, and Orlan types. The air defense effort involved aviation, missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups. Ukraine is ready to export its latest Skyfall interceptor drone model, which has reportedly shot down 5,000 targets in six months. The company producing the drones can produce more than the Ukrainian army requires. President Zelensky stated that export profits will fund Ukraine's defense.
