Dual Citizen Arrested in Finland for Scattered Spider Hacks
Anastonia Stokes, a dual U.S.-Finnish citizen, has been arrested in Finland in connection with the Scattered Spider hacking group. Stokes faces a six-count complaint including wire fraud, conspiracy, and computer intrusion. The charges allege Stokes participated in at least four hacks that resulted in millions of dollars in ransom payments from corporations. One of the alleged hacks occurred when Stokes was 16 years old. Police stated the individual is being investigated for involvement in cyberattacks.
