Colombia Faces Challenges Combating Terrorism
Colombian authorities are concerned about civilian populations withholding information from authorities regarding terrorist groups. This issue was highlighted in a recent incident in Putumayo, where residents lived alongside these structures and did not share intelligence. This complicity makes combating terrorism more difficult. Caracol Radio Colombia questioned the effectiveness of current mechanisms in Colombia and globally for combating terrorism.
