US Army Announces Strikes On Iranian Military Sites
The US military conducted a small warning strike against Iran, with a ceasefire agreement remaining in effect. Ibrahim Zulfiqar, spokesman for Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters, stated the United States violated the ceasefire by targeting two Iranian ships near the Strait of Hormuz. He added that Iranian armed forces immediately retaliated by attacking two US military ships east of the Strait of Hormuz and south of Chabahar port. Attacks are continuing back and forth between the United States and Iran. The United Arab Emirates is identified as the most targeted Gulf country since late February due to its criticism of Iran's regime and normalization with Israel, which began with the 2020 Abraham Accords. The United States struck military targets in Iran after Iran fired on three US Navy destroyers sailing in the Strait of Hormuz.
