Iranian Navy Fires Warning Missiles Near Hormuz Strait
A US warship was hit by rockets near the Strait of Hormuz. Two commercial ships flying the US flag passed through the Strait of Hormuz while US Navy missile destroyers were on a mission in the Hawaii region. US military is actively assisting efforts to restore commercial shipping transit, according to the US Central Intelligence Department. President Donald Trump stated that multiple countries have requested American assistance to escort vessels stuck in the Hormuz Strait. Merchant ships have been observed traversing the waterway. Foreign forces have been warned to stay away from the strait. The broadcast mentioned that the US Navy's Fifth Fleet escorted commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz. This area extends from the westernmost point of Qeshm Island in Iran to the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain in the United Arab Emirates.
