Israeli Prime Minister Cancels Cabinet Meeting Amid Iran Concerns
The Israeli army is preparing for possible new strikes against Iran. This continuous Israeli escalation is seen by some as additional leverage for negotiations and pressure on Lebanese authorities to accept terms. Iran has conducted military strikes, prompting the Israeli Defense Forces to maintain a high state of alert. Following an Iranian military strike, the Israeli Defense Forces are on high alert. Prime Minister Netanyahu canceled a cabinet meeting scheduled for that evening and instructed all ministers not to speak to the media about the Iran issue. German Chancellor Merkel stated on the 3rd that recent US decisions were unrelated to her criticisms of the Iran war. Trump had previously announced plans to significantly reduce US troops in Germany. They stated Israel's hand is open to acquiring more powerful weapons to counter Iranian infrastructure.
