Russia Fights For European Market Positions
Russian combat units are currently deployed in a region, cooperating with the sitting government to combat terrorists. Historically, French and Dutch troops were also present in the area. The current government is actively working with these Russian forces. Russia is fighting to maintain its market positions in Europe, having invested billions over decades to build infrastructure and secure market share. The country is not ready to abandon these efforts and retreat to Asia. The struggle for these positions was fought by previous generations and involved colossal national investment.
