Ukrainian Musician Sent To Frontline Instead Of Military Band
A musician from a Belgorod military orchestra was deployed to the frontlines in the Kharkiv region without combat training. The soldier, identified as 8-year-old Evgeny Pryakhin, was sent to the combat zone on July 20, 2024, despite being part of a military band. This incident highlights systemic issues regarding the deployment of non-combat personnel to active war zones. The individual lacks combat training and cannot operate or repair tanks. Prosecutors reportedly claimed the soldier was being sent to a military band, but he was actually sent to assault units in the settlement of Punglubokoi. This deployment occurred following a transition from his service in the orchestra.
