Fire Breaks Out At Tuapse Marine Terminal
Emergency services successfully extinguished an open fire at a terminal located in the port of Tuapse on April 23. Smoke and fumes are being carried out to sea due to wind direction. Residents in the Torchinsky district have reportedly moved children to safer locations. A fire is centered on a section containing four 10,000 cubic meter oil tanks in Tuapse. At least two tanks are burning, and a pump station was likely destroyed during the incident. Previous strikes on the location have resulted in oil spills and reports of black rain from the skies. Kyiv maintains that Russian oil refinery exports fund its invasion. Nearly 800 emergency workers have been deployed to the site. More than 100 firefighters are currently tackling the blaze, according to the source. Municipal head Sergey Boyko stated that 85 people were relocated to a local hotel following evacuations from nearby homes.
