Putin And Trump Discuss Holiday Ceasefire
Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet decided on a specific time for a ceasefire on Victory Day, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov on April 30. The proposal covers the period from May 4 to May 8. Voshkov noted that the proposal requires a positive response to previously submitted suggestions. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed a desire to restart negotiations regarding the Ukraine issue. Lavrov stated he hopes to implement the results of the Russia-US Alaska summit. Peskov stated on April 30 that Russia has not received a response from Ukraine regarding the proposal. He added that a single call between the US and Russian leaders is insufficient to improve the global situation given the high concentration of global conflicts. These ongoing conflicts are reportedly impacting the international situation and the global economy.
