The leadership of the Sudanese Armed Forces received defectors from the Rapid Support Forces at a high political and military level. The incident involved a convoy belonging to the Rapid Support Forces, according to Al Araby Radio. The incident occurred in the southern region of the Sudanese capital. Rapid Support Forces targeted sites in the Jabal Awliya region south of Khartoum this morning. A field source reported that Sudanese Army-aligned forces also targeted Rapid Support Forces combat vehicles in a northern province. The specific casualties or damage from these strikes were not immediately specified. Eyewitnesses reported heavy anti-aircraft fire and loud explosions in the Jabal al-Awliya area south of Khartoum.
