Ukraine Conducts 9,000 Unmanned Ground Vehicle Missions

Ukrainians have begun using uncrewed devices for casualty evacuation over recent months. Uncrewed vehicles are also being used to resupply forward positions via air and ground. Resupply efforts include delivering rations and ammunition to soldiers in position. The use of these devices aims to mitigate the horrifying conditions faced by soldiers in active positions. Work is being conducted to strengthen intelligence capabilities to detect and bypass enemy electronic warfare systems used during the deployment of Iskander complexes and missile launches. This effort aims to identify approximate launch locations used by the enemy. The development of uncrewed ground vehicles has been spurred by the 20 to 30 kilometer sterile buffer zones on either side of the front line. Monthly Russian casualties are estimated between 10,000 and 15,000, while Ukrainian figures are considerably lower. The military aims to eventually deploy 50,000 such devices, including units for the 7th Mechanized Brigade. A similar drone recently destroyed a Russian armored personnel carrier and its crew in Edmiti. Paweł Buszko reported these developments for Polskie Radio 24. One such drone reportedly occupied an enemy position for the first time recently.
