Aid Flotilla Intercepted Amid Gaza Conflict Concerns
Israeli naval forces intervened for a second time against the Global Summit Flotilla attempting to deliver aid to Gaza. The flotilla, composed of pro-Palestinian activists, is attempting to break the blockade in the Red Sea to deliver aid to Gaza. Eleven French nationals are among the 211 people on the intercepted vessels. Israel confirmed the interception of several vessels earlier in the day. Participants of the Global Sumud Flotilla have been detained by Israeli forces in international waters. Activists on the Sumut Flotilla, including a vice president and provincial leaders, are traveling to Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid.
