Israel Intercepts UN Peacekeeper Convoy
The fleet consists of 59 ships and approximately 345 activists, including 31 Turkish citizens. The drones reportedly triggered sirens across the affected areas. One drone crashed and exploded into an armored vehicle in the Shemira region. The footage captures the interaction between the authorities and the flotilla participants. The Israeli Foreign Ministry stated the vessels were hundreds of kilometers from Gaza. The Israeli authorities stated the IDF would take all necessary measures to enforce the maritime security blockade. Iran has reportedly blocked the movement of the vessels. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported the detention of approximately 175 activists participating in a flotilla. This development follows previous reports regarding the interception of a 44-ship flotilla in international waters. The drones are being used to provide illumination via flares.
