Food Poisoning Hospitalizes 80 In Dong Thap
A court in Dong Thap province sentenced 44-year-old Nguyen Van Minh to 14 years in prison for murder. Minh received an additional 5 years for the illegal use of weapons. The court determined his actions were particularly dangerous and violated state management of weapons, causing local disorder. The incident involved a conflict on January 5, 2025, where a suspect attacked a 37-year-old woman in her room. Two others who attempted to intervene were also injured during the assault. All three victims were transported to the local hospital for medical treatment. More than 80 people were hospitalized for treatment after consuming bread from the Hong Ngoc 12 establishment in Dong Thap province. The Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee decided to fine the facility 90 million VND. All frying activities at the establishment have been suspended.
