District Of Columbia Sues Sequoia Row Consulting
The District of Columbia has filed a lawsuit against Sequoia Row Consulting and its CEO, Paul Lawrence. The suit alleges the company fraudulently collected millions of dollars in government contracts intended for locally owned small businesses. According to the complaint, the company falsely claimed to be a D.C.-based, resident-owned business. The District alleges the firm is actually run by a Georgia resident using virtual or minimally used offices in D.C. This misrepresentation reportedly allowed Sequoia Row to secure at least 32 local set-aside contracts. The case is currently proceeding in court. Attorney General Brian Schwab filed the lawsuit last week.
