US Orders Withdrawal Of 5,000 Soldiers From Germany
The United States announced plans to withdraw approximately 5,000 US military personnel from Germany. President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that the United States may reduce its military presence in Germany by more than the 5,000 soldiers previously announced by the Pentagon. US President Trump has vowed to reduce troops in Germany, with one report specifying a 15 percent reduction. US President Trump is considering troop withdrawals from Spain and Italy, in addition to the previously announced reduction of US troops in Germany to 5,000. The US delivered 56,000 tons of ammunition to Israel. Green Party co-leader Brandner stated the move demonstrates the danger of relying on the US president. SPD defense expert Simtje Möller described Trump's threats as erratic and the partial withdrawal as lacking strategy.
