Rivian Increases Georgia Factory Production Target
Rivian has announced changes to its planned electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Georgia. The company is reducing the scope of its original production goals for the site. Rivian is building a factory in Georgia with a planned annual capacity of 300,000 cars. This represents a 50% increase from the company's original production target. Construction on the facility is scheduled to begin this year. The plant will produce the R2 Electric SUV, with output expected to start in late 2028.
